Football Recap: Nashua South Starts Season with Win on the Road

Nashua South had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Malden Catholic Lancers by a score of 36-25. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Purple Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 24th in New Hampshire, while the Lancers are ranked 97th in Massachusetts).

Looking ahead, Nashua South will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bedford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Purple Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Malden Catholic, they are taking a road trip to square off against Windham at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
