Volleyball Game Preview: Warwick Wildcats vs. Minisink Valley Warriors

The Warwick Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Minisink Valley Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Two weeks ago, Warwick was able to grind out a solid win over Washingtonville, taking the game 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 17-25, 25-19.

Minisink Valley not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since November 9, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Goshen Central. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Minisink Valley took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-15.

Minisink Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Warwick, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Warwick beat Minisink Valley 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
