Baseball Recap: Round Lake Takes a Loss

Round Lake made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Antioch, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers fell just short of the Sequoits by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sequoits this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Monday.

Round Lake saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Javier Rolon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Round Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Antioch, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-10-1.

Coming up, Antioch will head out to square off against Huntley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Round Lake will be paying especially close attention to the Sequoits' game: after the Sequoits face off against the Red Raiders, they'll take on Round Lake again at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
