L'Anse Creuse hit Memphis with a six-run fifth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Yellowjackets lost 14-4 to the Lancers. The Yellowjackets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ella Bobcean and Aubrey Barnowski stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bobcean went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Barnowski went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellycia LaFontaine, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Memphis' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for L'Anse Creuse, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

While Memphis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
