Softball Recap: Marquette Comes Up Short

Marquette was the 5-2 winner over Maquoketa when they last played one another back in June of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Mohawks fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Mohawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marquette's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Maquoketa, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Marquette will challenge Maquoketa Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maquoketa, they will square off against Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
