            Basketball Recap: The Pinnacle Timberwolves vs. Lotus School For Excellence Meteors        
        
		
        
        
            If The Pinnacle was riding high  fresh off their  75-55 takedown of KIPP Denver Collegiate last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pinnacle Timberwolves fell  54-47 to the Lotus School For Excellence Meteors on Friday.

When it comes to explaining why The Pinnacle lost, don't look at  Caleb Arellano. Despite the final result, he  posted 18 points and four  steals. Arellano is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  AJ Duran, who  scored six  points.
 Even though they lost, The Pinnacle  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in four consecutive  matches.
The Pinnacle's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Lotus School For Excellence, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record  this season.
 The Pinnacle will square off against Kennedy at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Pinnacle is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8  points per game  this season. As for Lotus School For Excellence, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  49-47  victory against Sedgwick County on the 22nd.
