Basketball Recap: Tyler HEAT vs. East Texas Homeschool Sports Chargers

In what's become a running theme this season, Tyler HEAT gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 73-42 victory over East Texas Homeschool Sports at home. Winning may never get old, but Tyler HEAT sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Elijah Grimes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Jackson Tomlin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight assists and two steals.

East Texas Homeschool Sports lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Will Mason, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Mason is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Dragoo, who scored 11 points along with two steals.

Even though they lost, East Texas Homeschool Sports smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tyler HEAT only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.

Tyler HEAT has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season. As for East Texas Homeschool Sports, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6.

Tyler HEAT will head out on the road to take on the at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dallas Thunder has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 796 points over their last 12 matchups. As for East Texas Homeschool Sports, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. CHAAMP HomeSchool and the Chargers are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
