Football Recap: Naperville Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Naperville Central had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it five. They received a blow as they fell 29-10 to the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings. The Redhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2017.

As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they moved to 4-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. That 19 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Homewood-Flossmoor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zyon Jones led the charge by throwing for 210 yards and one touchdown while completing 73.5% of his passes, and also punching in one TD on the ground. Kourtney Smith helped Jones out on the ground, rushing for 86 yards and one score, while also picking up 34 receiving yards.
