Basketball Recap: Tift County Takes a Loss

Tift County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lowndes Vikings on Thursday. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 43-42.

Kam Jackson had an outrageously good game for Lowndes as he posted 20 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Ferguson, who had eight points.

Tift County's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Lowndes, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Tift County nor Lowndes have any future games scheduled.
