Las Plumas had to endure a 19-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Corning Cardinals on Tuesday. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Thunderbirds this season.

Las Plumas walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Younger Leila and Mylee Olivieri, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Myli Benedict and her ten assists. Jassilyn Saetern controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Las Plumas' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-21. As for Corning, they dropped their record down to 9-17 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
