Volleyball Recap: Channel Islands Falls Despite Big Games from Daniel Miranda and Riley Luna

After a string of three wins, Channel Islands's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Wildwood Wolves.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 23-25, 25-14.

Despite the defeat, Channel Islands had strong showings from Riley Luna, who had 12 digs, and Daniel Miranda, who had seven digs and two blocks. Miranda is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season. Jayden Arce also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Channel Islands' loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Wildwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Channel Islands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wildwood, they will face off against Avalon on Saturday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
