Basketball Recap: St. Amant Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked St. Louis Catholic

St. Amant won the last time they faced St. Louis Catholic and things went their way on Friday too. The St. Amant Gators came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Louis Catholic Saints, sneaking past 52-50. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Gators' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Saints are ranked 34th).

St. Amant is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for St. Louis Catholic, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.
