Softball Recap: Douglas Byrd Eagles vs. Cape Fear Colts

The result was an unpleasant reminder to Douglas Byrd of the 20-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on Tuesday.

For Cape Fear's part, Karalina Tomasic looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Tomasic has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.
