Baseball Recap: Macon County Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Macon County's victory against Portland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 2-0 shutout on Monday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly two runs.

Eli Carver tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hayes Polston, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.
