Eagle Valley had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 21-point drubbing they dealt Steamboat Springs on Friday. The Devils put the hurt on the Sailors with a sharp 35-14 win. Considering the Devils have won five contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Colter Blakey and Nathan Leeper were among the main playmakers for Eagle Valley as the former threw for 263 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes and the latter gained 184 total yards and two touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Blakey has posted since back in October of 2024. Malachi Barros was in the mix too, providing Eagle Valley with one score.

Eagle Valley didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Steamboat Springs to a completion percentage of just 47.8%. The Devils have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.58 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.58 in their last three games.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Glenwood Springs' offense. They were outmatched by Conifer and fell 35-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Demons were not able to get on the board.

Glenwood Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Eagle Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
