Recap: Oklahoma Bible Trojans vs. Drumright Tornadoes
The Oklahoma Bible Trojans suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 60-36 walloping at the hands of Drumright. While losing is never fun, Oklahoma Bible can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Drumright is ranked 99th).
It was another big night for Joseph Bray, who went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 3 assists for Drumright. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Bray has scored at least a third of Drumright's points. Another player making a difference was Jonathon Chavez, who scored nine points along with eight assists and two steals.
Oklahoma Bible has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Drumright, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home.
Oklahoma Bible won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Glencoe at 5:30 p.m. on January 20th. Drumright won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hominy on January 20th. Hominy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
