Basketball Recap: Hertford County Bears vs. Manteo Redskins
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hertford County). They blew past the Manteo Redskins 85-46 on Friday. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redskins, too.
Hertford County was led to victory by Rimiez Williams and Shimere Garris. Williams went 13 of 21 en route to 30 points in addition to seven steals and five assists, while Garris dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Williams' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Remelo Roberston was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Hertford County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Holmes the next time they take the court. Manteo will head out to face Holmes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hertford County will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
