Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glastonbury). They claimed a resounding 68-32 win over the Middletown Blue Dragons. Given the Guardians' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Blue Dragons are ranked 93rd), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Middletown's loss came despite strong showings from Sophia Abanador and Sakayla Gumbs. Abanador posted 11 points, while Gumbs scored ten points and seven rebounds.

Glastonbury has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Middletown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Glastonbury has already played their next game (against Simsbury), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Middletown has already played their next contest, a 66-34 loss against Bristol Central on the 17th.
