Basketball Recap: Trousdale County Comes Up Short

Trousdale County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 82-21 to the White House-Heritage Patriots, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Patriots are ranked 136th).

White House-Heritage's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Smith led the charge by putting up nine points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in assists (three). Noah Green was another key player, scoring ten points.

Trousdale County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for White House-Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.

Looking ahead, Trousdale County will take on Liberty Creek at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th. Liberty Creek will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Trousdale County surely won't give up without a fight. As for White House-Heritage, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-32 win against Cheatham County Central on the 11th.
