Recap: Veritas Academy Monarch vs. Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors
The Veritas Academy Monarch had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 64-34 loss at the hands of Dayspring Christian Academy. Veritas Academy has not had much luck with Dayspring Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Dayspring Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miracle Johnsons, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Noah Huxta was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Veritas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
Veritas Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Lititz Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lititz Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Conestoga Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
