Volleyball Recap: Stonebridge Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

StoneBridge came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Virginia Academy Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cavaliers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.

Madalyn Wartick paced StoneBridge's offense, picking up nine kills. Wartick got some help from Selah Telfer and her nine assists. Payton Weatherford controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

StoneBridge's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Virginia Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

StoneBridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against North Cross on the 23rd. As for Virginia Academy, they will take on St. Anne's-Belfield at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
