Softball Recap: Notre Dame-Green Pond Takes a Loss

Notre Dame-Green Pond was the 3-2 winner over Tamaqua when they last played one another back in May of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders fell just short of the Blue Raiders by a score of 4-3 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by just one run.

Addison Ryan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Lilly, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Notre Dame-Green Pond and nudges their season record down to 13-9. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Tamaqua, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Notre Dame-Green Pond nor Tamaqua have any future games scheduled.
