Football Game Preview: Chamblee Bulldogs vs. Roswell Hornets + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Brayden Doss and Trey Smith are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. After each having a week off, the Chamblee Bulldogs and the Roswell Hornets will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Chamblee put up the most points they have all season last Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-3 victory over Arabia Mountain. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 42-3 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams had no chance of recovering from.

Chamblee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jack Robinson, Isaiah Cowan, and Kyle Oglesby picked up one apiece. Robinson is becoming a predictor of Chamblee's success: when he posts at least one interception the team is 2-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Oglesby got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Roswell faced Milton in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Eagles 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted against the Eagles since September 14, 2018.

Roswell pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.4 points over those games. As for Chamblee, their record now sits at 4-6.
