Basketball Recap: Sanai Cyrus' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Loganville Christian Academy over Tallulah Falls

After flying high against Social Circle last Monday, Loganville Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Loganville Christian Academy Lions fell 47-35 to the Tallulah Falls Indians on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Indians are ranked 285th).

Loganville Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sanai Cyrus, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Maddie Husband, who put up five points and nine rebounds.

Loganville Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Tallulah Falls, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loganville Christian Academy will face off against Tallulah Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tallulah Falls, they will square off against George Walton Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. George Walton Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season.
