Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Marlin was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against La Vega, falling 5-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.

China Spring's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Marlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
