Smoky Valley had to endure a four-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Haven Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Smoky Valley might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Haven scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

Smoky Valley's offense was headlined by Kenzley Haxton and Kamryn Ryan, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Ceeley Friesen and her 23 assists. Ryan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Smoky Valley's win bumped their record up to 11-19. As for Haven, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-13.

Coincidentally, Smoky Valley and Haven will both be playing Hillsboro the next time they take the court. The Vikings will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
