Ron Brown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arrington Smith, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 17 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in shooting accuracy (53%). Praise Nwafor was another key player, shooting 64% from the field en route to 19 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thurgood Marshall Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Anacostia with a sharp 72-51 win on Saturday. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
