Volleyball Recap: Northwestern Wildcats vs. Seneca Bobcats

Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Seneca Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Northwestern was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Seneca work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 32-30.

Seneca's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Samantha Harvey led the charge by getting 16 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Harvey has posted over her last six matches. Sophia Primavere was another key player, getting six digs and two blocks.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Seneca, their record is now 5-8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northwestern is set to square off against their familiar foe Fairview at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Seneca will take on rival Corry at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
