Basketball Recap: Edgewood Academy Skates Past Banks Academy with Ease

Edgewood Academy won the last time they faced Banks Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Edgewood Academy Wildcats took their matchup with ease, bagging a 62-4 victory over the Banks Academy Jets. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-0.

Edgewood Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emerson Boddie, who went 8 of 12 en route to 16 points and eight steals. Those eight steals gave Boddie a new career-high. Lexie Smith was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten steals.

Edgewood Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Banks Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Edgewood Academy will be playing at home against Fort Dale Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Banks Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
