Recap: Matanzas Pirates vs. Cape Coral Seahawks        
        
		
            
 On Thursday, Matanzas opened the new year with a less-than-successful  56-51 loss to they.
 Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Henry  Robinson Jr.  , who  scored 17 points along with nine  rebounds and four  blocks. The  match was  Robinson Jr.  's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Rya'sir  Jefferson , who  scored 14 points along with five  steals.
 Matanzas' loss was  their third straight at home, which  bumped their record down to 3-9. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Cape Coral,  the  victory  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 10-6.
 Matanzas won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Parker at 2:00  p.m.  on January 5th. Parker is coming into the  game on a three-game losing streak. Cape Coral won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Spruce Creek at 7:30  p.m.  on January 5th.
