Football Recap: Amphitheater Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Amphitheater had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it four. They took a blow against the Walden Grove Red Wolves, falling 58-6. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-0.

As for Walden Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.4 points on average over those games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walden Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gauge Abalos, who threw for 77 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one rushing score. Those three passing touchdowns gave Abalos a new career-high. Mason Wright was another key player, rushing for 56 yards and one TD on only five carries.

Amphitheater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walden Grove, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Northwest Christian at 7:00 p.m.
