Basketball Recap: Ola Takes a Loss

Ola suffered their biggest defeat since February 6th on Friday. They lost 63-38 to the Jones County Greyhounds. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mya Anderson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jones County, putting up 19 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Autumn Coleman, who posted 13 points.

With the loss, Ola broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2. As for Jones County, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Ola wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 76-19 victory against Locust Grove on the 14th. Jones County will take on Woodland in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jones County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Woodland likes a good challenge.
