Aliquippa had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Belle Vernon Leopards to the tune of 42-7. With the Quips ahead 28-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Marques Council Jr. was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 82 yards and one score. A healthy portion of Council Jr.'s aerial production (106 yards to be exact) went to Qa'Lil Goode, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Belle Vernon now has a losing record of 0-1-1.

Coming up, Aliquippa will welcome Avonworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belle Vernon, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
