Basketball Recap: Drew Terkildsen Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat White River

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Harding County, Philip was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 62-41 margin over the White River Tigers. With that victory, the Scotties brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.

Philip's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Terkildsen, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. Terkildsen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Fayth Martin, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Philip smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Philip now has a winning record of 10-9. As for White River, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Philip does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for White River, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Jones County at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. White River is facing Jones County at the right time seeing as Jones County is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
