Basketball Recap: Whitehouse Comes Up Short

Whitehouse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 45-38 to the Hallsville Bobcats. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Bobcats are ranked 900th).

Whitehouse now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Hallsville, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-23.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Whitehouse Wildcats take on the Texas Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hallsville has already played their next matchup (against Nacogdoches), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
