Softball Recap: Bristol Eastern's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

Bristol Eastern dropped their record down to 8-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 8-0 to the Ellington Knights. The game marked the first time this season in which the Lancers were not able to get on the board.

As for Ellington, their victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games.

For Ellington's part, Camryn Fisher made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Fisher has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run.
