Volleyball Recap: Eaton Eagles vs. Waynesville Spartans

Eaton extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Waynesville. They won by a set and slipped past the Waynesville Spartans 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Eaton got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 18-25, 25-17, 20-25, 15-10.

Shandon Garrett paced Eaton's offense, picking up 24 kills. Garrett got some help from Kenzie Wilson and her 40 assists. Garrett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Eaton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Waynesville, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-10 record.

Eaton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Roger Bacon on the 26th. Waynesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
