Vernon entered their tilt with Aspermont on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over the Aspermont Hornets. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 427th, while the Hornets are ranked 1008th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
