Baseball Recap: Peoria Heights' Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Peoria Heights can bid farewell to their 15-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since May 9, 2024.

Cameron Ahart was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Peoria Heights' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 0-16 when he doesn't). Brody Jones also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
