Recap: Solebury Spartans vs. Phelps Lions
The Solebury Spartans's game on Sunday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 78-66 victory over Phelps. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Solebury's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makhai Anderson , who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 21 rebounds. The game was Anderson 's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joell Idrovo, who scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds.
The win got Solebury back to even at 2-2. As for Phelps, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solebury will take on Tournament Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Phelps, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Covenant Christian Academy at 3:45 p.m. Covenant Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
