Baseball Game Preview: Ludington Orioles vs. Oakridge Eagles

The Ludington Orioles will head out on the road to challenge the Oakridge Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cadillac hit Ludington with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Orioles lost 10-1 to the Vikings. The loss continues a trend for the Orioles in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Oakridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Whitehall, falling 14-4.

Oakridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Oakridge's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Ludington, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.

Ludington suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Oakridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Orioles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
