Recap: La Grange Leopards vs. Austin Achieve Polar Bears
The La Grange Leopards entered their tilt with the Austin Achieve Polar Bears with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. La Grange blew past the Polar Bears, posting a 67-33 victory at home. La Grange has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Nathan Scott, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Reece Nygren, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
La Grange has been performing well recently as they've won 19 of their last 23 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Austin Achieve, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Grange will take on the Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Giddings will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1300th, while the Leopards are ranked 619th). As for Austin Achieve, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Smithville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
