Basketball Recap: Key Takes a Loss

Key was the 67-54 winner over Beth Tfiloh when they last played one another back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Key Obezags fell 65-55 to the Beth Tfiloh Warriors on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Key lost, don't look at Anjo Yette. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 19 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Yette is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angus Lunt-Woodward, who posted nine points.

Key now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Beth Tfiloh, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Key will square off against Park School at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beth Tfiloh, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sts. Peter & Paul at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th.
