Recap: Blacksburg Wildcats vs. Liberty Red Devils

The Blacksburg Wildcats posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 70-49 margin over Liberty. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Blacksburg has posted against Liberty since January 9, 2015.

Blacksburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ziyon Harris, who scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals. Christian Federico was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Liberty lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Logan Smith, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kendrick Jackson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Liberty smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Blacksburg's win ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Liberty, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

Blacksburg will head out on the road to challenge Chesnee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesnee has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 819 points over their last 11 games. As for Liberty, they will be playing at home against Landrum at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Landrum will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
