Softball Recap: Central Triumphs

Central's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Glendale Vikings a 10-0 shutout. For the Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Alexis Fetzer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Hailey Fries was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Central's record now sits at 5-9. As for Glendale, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-9.

Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-0 defeat against Tyrone on the 5th. As for Glendale, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-6 win against Moshannon Valley on the 6th.
