Volleyball Recap: Concordia Lutheran Comes Up Short at Home Against Lutheran South Academy

Concordia Lutheran unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers on Tuesday. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-15.

Lutheran South Academy was led to victory by Charlie Marsico and Julia Carpentier. Marsico had 12 digs and six assists, while Carpentier had four digs and four aces. Those six assists gave Marsico a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Concordia Lutheran will take on Taylor in a tournament on Thursday. As for Lutheran South Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Porter at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
