Basketball Game Preview: Faith Baptist Eagle vs. CHASE

The Faith Baptist Eagle will venture away from home to take on CHASE at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Faith Baptist has four straight victories, CHASE has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Faith Baptist beat Faith Christian 48-43.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Mack, who posted 14 points. That's the most points Mack has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Smither, who scored 13 points.

Meanwhile, CHASE ended up a good deal behind FAITH HomeSchool on Monday and lost 53-38.

Faith Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for CHASE, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Everything came up roses for Faith Baptist against CHASE when the teams last played on Friday, as the team secured a 71-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Faith Baptist since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
