Softball Recap: North Adams Comes Up Short

North Adams and Eastern pushed the score to 19-6 the last time they played Eastern, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Green Devils fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 1-0. The Green Devils haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Carlee Garrison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

North Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Eastern, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

North Adams didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Manchester on the 22nd. As for Eastern, they have also already played their next game, a 13-3 victory against Clermont Northeastern on the 22nd.
