Football Recap: Hammond Central Takes a Loss

Hammond Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 52-0 defeat at the hands of the Andrew Thunderbolts. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 305th in Indiana, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 105th in Illinois).

Jackquell Jackson threw for 30 yards on three of 11 attempts.

Hammond Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Andrew, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hammond Central will venture away from home to face off against Hammond Morton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Wolves their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Andrew, they will face off against Stagg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbolts will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
