Kelso came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Mount Tahoma T-Birds get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Hilanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

Kelso pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Tahoma, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kelso will take on Evergreen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount Tahoma, they will venture away from home to square off against Gig Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tides will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the T-Birds surely won't give up without a fight.
